SYSTEMS ENGINEER 

Due to our continued growth and development an opportunity has arisen for a Systems Engineer to join our Systems Department.

The Role:

Servicing / Maintenance, Repair and installation of Fire Alarm Systems, Emergency Lighting, AOV, Access Control, CCTV and Nurse Call Systems.

Customer service and communication

Reading site plans

Working in a variety of environments from flats and housing / care homes / commerical premises.

Ensure all works carried out under the scope of the relevant standards and in keeping with our company quality policies.

Full training programme and development.

Essential:

  • Experience in a similar role required.
  • Solid working knowledge of BS5839 / BS7671
  • 18th Edition
  • Full driving licence
  • Good communication skills

Desired:

  • H&S / CSCS
  • IPAF
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Basic IT ability and willingness to learn relevant Carpentry team PDA software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • An eagerness to work as part of a team

Salary: Starting from £26,000 PA dependent upon experience.

PASSIVE FIRE PROTECTION ENGINEER  

An opportunity has come up for a Passive Fire Protection Engineer to join the AFP Carpentry team on a permanenet contract.

About the role:

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Installation of fire stopping to fire doors in a variety of locations for wideranging clients.
  • Use of ablative batts
  • To adhere to the company’s quality procedures in all aspects of the job
  • Product training provided.

Salary: Negotiable / Dependent upon abilities and experience

AFP company van and phone provided to successful candidate.

Desirable Skills:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection
  • FIRAS card
  • Experience of passive fire
  • Experience of working with fire doors
  • Experience using ablative batt
  • Experience using fire barrier systems i.e. Rockwool Curtains preferred
  • Fire safety industry knowledge
  • Ability to read building CAD drawings / plans.

Essentials:
