Wet & Dry Risers
Dry and wet risers are installed to be used by firefighters so they have access to plenty of water to properly combat the spread of a fire. If, after having a fire risk assessment done, you discover that you will most likely need the help of the fire services in order to tackle a fire, it’s important to make sure that your wet and dry risers are in proper working order.
At Advanced Fire Protection, we have years of experience installing and maintaining both dry and wet risers, so you can be sure that you’re in safe hands with us.
When it comes to wet and dry riser maintenance, this is what BS 9990 2006 recommends:
For dry risers:
- A service every six months
- An annual pressure test
For wet risers:
- Two service visits per year
- Two electric pump inspection service visits per year
- One flow test per year (if applicable)
